In this session, we’ll review the factors that go into a SQL Server cost calculation, both for on-premises as well as for cloud based systems. In this we will include compute (CPU/RAM), storage, SQL Server licensing and the other factors that go into managing systems long term. This will include both geographical redundancy, high availability as well as disaster recovery options; both for the databases as well as the front end.
Additionally, we will review what sorts of training people should be looking for from their companies as they make the move from having on-premises servers to cloud servers.
