SPS for Linux supports many different clustering architectures, allowing your business to meet its unique RTO and RPO requirements. Here are a handful of cluster configurations commonly used by customers around the globe:

“Shared Nothing” cluster configuration (i.e Replicated Data)

Works with both single-site (LAN) and multi-site (WAN) configurations, and supports multi-target replication.

Shared Storage Cluster Configurations (2-32 nodes)

Hybrid Storage Cluster

This configuration provides the best of both worlds – traditional shared storage failover combined with data replication to additional cluster nodes.

Native App Support

SPS for Linux comes bundled Application Recovery Kits (ARKs), providing out of the box support for major applications, eliminating the need for custom development work. These unique application-aware agents provide granular visibility into each key subsystem in your IT stack.

• Linux Operating Systems (x86 and x86_64)
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.X and 6.X
  • CentOS 5.X and 6.X
  • Oracle Linux 5.X
  • SuSE SLES 10 and 11
• Memory
  • 512 MB minimum
  • System memory should be sized appropriately for the application(s) that will be protected by SPS
• Network
  • 2 or more network cards/interfaces strongly recommended for redundant communication between cluster nodes
• Storage
  • Local Storage (HDD, SSD)
  • Network Attached Storage (NAS)
  • Fiber Channel SAN (Single-Path or Multi-path)
  • iSCSI
  • SPS for Linux requires the following disk space
    • / - Approximately 120 MB
    • /opt – Approximately 150 MB
